D.U.5. The golden ratio in art. 2º ESO

Artwork: The Creation of Adam is a fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, painted by Michelangelo around the year 1511 (Renaissance).

The golden ratio is a special number, approximately 1.618, that appears in nature, mathematics, and art. In art, the golden ratio helps create balanced and beautiful compositions. Artists and architects often use it to decide the size and position of shapes in their work.
